Machine vision system for label control

Today machine vision is used in almost all technological processes.

This system helps to avoid applying a label that does not fit the vial.

Technical solution description

A machine vision camera compares a photograph of a label on a vial moving down a conveyor to a reference label. Barcode scanner scans the barcode printed on the back of the vial and verifies that it matches the current recipe. Then, the compatibility of the label and barcode is checked. If the system detects a discrepancy, the vial is rejected.

The hardware part of the control system is located in the control cabinet. It has the following technical characteristics: dimensions 760x760x300 mm, wall-mounted, IP66.

The following equipment is located inside the cabinet:

• controller connected to the conveyor;
• vision controller;
• industrial Ethernet switch.

The line contains:

• barcode Scanner;
• monochronous camera FH;
• lens, high resolution;
• optical sensor.
