Machine vision system for date control on the package

Today, the effects of using machine vision systems in almost any technological process cannot be overestimated.

The system makes it possible to check the presence of the date on product packaging and to avoid losses that the company may incur from shipping unmarked products.

Technological solution description

A machine vision camera is designed to control the presence of a date on the label. If the camera detects the date’s absence, a signal is issued. The signal from the camera is fed to the control cabinet and the line is stopped.

The hardware part of the control system is located in a control cabinet and has the following characteristics: 760x760x300 mm, wall-mounted, IP66.

The following equipment is located inside the cabinet:

• switching power supply;
•  pilot relay.

The line contains:

• machine vision camera;
• object sensor;
• camera mounting.
