Machine vision system for quality control of sealing seams on tubes

One of the main parameters in filling the product into tubes is the tightness of the tube seam. This system is specially designed for quality control of seam sealing on plastic tubes.

Technical solution description

The quality control system for sealing seams on tubes consists of a machine vision camera, a product movement sensor and a rejector. The product moves along the production line. When the tube enters the motion sensor range, a signal is sent to the machine vision camera. The camera takes a photograph of the tube going down the conveyor and compares it with the reference image. Should the system detect a defect, a signal will be sent to the rejector. An unsealed tube is pushed onto the rejection table.
