Cheese and cottage cheese labeling

The deadline for mandatory labeling of cheese and cottage cheese is June 1, 2020. 

From December 1, 2020, unmarked cheese and cottage cheese will be prohibited in accordance with the  Government of the Russian Federation decree No. 2647 of 11/08/19.  

Technological process applied to the production of cheese and cottage cheese

List of control objects:

The product counting system is designed for piece-by-piece quantitative accounting of manufactured products and counts products as part of boxes and pallets. The following objects and procedures are subject to registration:

– unit packages of finished products;

– packaging in boxes (boxes);

– boxes in pallets.

Accounting automation object

The object – an automatic system of piece counting has three control points for finished products: a single product zone, a box formation zone and a pallet formation zone. When the product passes each of the zones, the finished product is automatically recorded.

Single product area

When the product passes the unit production zone, the following technological operations are carried out:

– code application on the package by a DataMatrix laser printer ;

– the DataMatrix code application control using a verification scanner;

– emergency line stop in case of multiple error in the DataMatrix code verification ;

Box formation area

The following technological operations take place in the box formation zone:

– placing several packages in one box;

– reading DataMatrix codes of all packages in one box;

– codes  read by DataMatrix of all box packages control;

– the software creates a label with the DataMatrix code for the box;

– making a task to print a label for a printer;

– aggregation of the printed DataMatrix box code with DataMatrix packaging codes;

– rejection of boxes with errors in reading or checking the DataMatrix package codes.

Pallet forming area

The following technological operations take place in the pallet formation zone:

– adding DataMatrix codes of boxes to the list of formed pallets;

– stacking boxes on a pallet ;

– software creation of a label for the pallet;

– making a task to print the label with a pallet code for a thermal transfer printer;

– aggregation of DataMatrix codes for boxes and printed pallet code.

The main system functions:

– Obtaining codes from the data system;

– Transfer of DataMatrix packaging codes to the printer;

– Application of DataMatrix code to packaging;

– Control of DataMatrix code application to the box;

– Emergency stop of the line upon detection of packages with unreadable codes;

– Reading DataMatrix codes on packages from the box;

– Creation of the DataMatrix code and related human-readable information on the box label;

– Reading the box code printed on the DataMatrix label ;

– Connection of the DataMatrix code of the box with the DataMatrix codes of the packages placed in this box;

– Rejection of boxes with unreadable DataMatrix packaging codes;

– Rejection of boxes in case of inconsistency of the DataMatrix  packaging codes with the codes received from the data system;

– Control of the correspondence of the number of boxes in the pallet to the given value;

– Creation of a barcode and related human-readable information on the pallet label;

– Reading of the pallet barcode printed on the label;

– Connection of the pallet barcode with the DataMatrix codes of the boxes in this pallet;

– Ability to determine the reason for the defective products, informing the operator of the need to perform regulated actions;

– Maintaining a database, with the ability to receive statistical reports (all actions and events);

– Creation and storage of an archive of recipes for a technological line with the ability to select the current one;

– Generation of report files with any given structure with the ability to transfer over the network;

– Ability to import/export data from corporate data systems according to an individually agreed upon algorithm;

– User-friendly human-machine interface with different access levels.
