RFID-technologies for monitoring the movement of wooden window parts

The marking of wooden windows parts and windows during production and as they exit the production line allows you to reduce the number of lost parts and ensure careful control of their movement. It is now possible to control defected goods and to determine the finished product after it leaved the production line.

How does it work?

At key production points, stations are installed which record how the tags move along the entire production route. The system includes 5 posts for reading and recording RFID tags::

1) Exit line of a woodworking machine.

At this stage, an RFID tag is applied to each piece of wood.

RFID tag contains the following information:

  • Information on the type of part;
  • Information on the order (window) to which it belongs;
  • Information on the defects (resinous pocket, crack, etc.).

2) Glueing – after the grinding machine.

All blanks are identified for further assembly of the 1st window, the drawing is displayed on the operator panel. Additional information is entered into the RFID tag:

  • Window ID;
  • Whether the goods are defected;
  • The window’s full description, etc.

3) Putty/ primer area 

Information is read from the RFID tags, the window processing scheme is displayed on the operator panel (grinding/putty/primer, etc. ). Additional information is entered into the RFID tag:

  • Whether the goods are defected;

4) Paint job.

Information is read from the RFID tags, the window painting scheme (appearance, color, etc.) is displayed on the operator panel. Additional information is added to the RFID tag:

  • Whether the goods are defected;

5) Assembly/ accessories, glass installation etc.

Information is read from the RFID tags, the type of fittings is displayed on the operator panel, etc. Additional information is entered into the RFID tag:

  • Whether the goods are defected;

Equipment:

  • Operator panel – 5 pcs;
  • RFID recorder – 5 pcs;
  • Handheld RFID scanner – 4 pcs.
